JAKARTA, Fraksigerindra.id — Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the President and Vice President-elect, attended Nuzulul Qur’an and Iftar together with Golkar Party at Golkar Party Headquarters, Jakarta, on Friday (29/3).
Prabowo arrived first at 17:00 WIB wearing a white koko shirt and a black kopiah. Shortly after, Gibran arrived wearing a brown-patterned batik outfit.
Their presence was warmly welcomed by the Chairman of Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto. In addition to Nuzulul Qur’an, Golkar Party also held a thanksgiving celebration for successfully securing victory for the Prabowo-Gibran presidential candidate in the 2024 election.
During the event, Prabowo expressed his gratitude to the Golkar Party for their efforts in the 2024 election.
“Brothers and sisters from the Golkar Party, thank you for the opportunity to express my gratitude for the hard work of the Golkar Party in the recent 2024 election that we carried out together,” said Prabowo.
Although the KPU has officially declared Prabowo-Gibran as the winners, Prabowo stated that they will respect the ongoing Constitutional Court (MK) trial process.
“Even though we still respect the processes that have been carried out and await the final result from the Constitutional Court, I have continuously conducted discussions, brainstorming sessions, gathering evidence, data, and preparing as best as possible,” explained Prabowo.
Prabowo also expressed his gratitude for being part of the Maju Indonesia Coalition (KIM).
“We are grateful that we are indeed part of the Maju Indonesia Coalition. We are grateful that we are not hesitant, ashamed, or indecisive. From the beginning, we have firmly stated that we are part of Pak Jokowi’s team,” he said.
Also present at the event were Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, senior Golkar Party politician Akbar Tanjung, Chairman of Golkar Party’s Council of Experts Agung Laksono, as well as Golkar Party’s DPP Officials.
