Prabowo Subianto’s Eid al-Fitr Prayer in 1445 H with Residents of Bojong Koneng at Nurul Wathon Mosque, Hambalang

Hambalang, Bogor—The Minister of Defense and the President-elect of the Republic of Indonesia for 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer in 1445 Hijri at Nurul Wathon Mosque located in Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (10/4).

Prabowo appeared at Nurul Wathon Mosque at 07:00 AM wearing a white Muslim koko shirt and a black peci (traditional cap).

His arrival was welcomed by the residents of Bojong Koneng and nearby employees who were also going to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer in 1445 Hijri.

“May you have a blessed Eid, Sir!” said the residents.

Prabowo then greeted the residents and his employees before quickly entering the Nurul Wathon Mosque area.

Shortly afterward, the prayer leader began leading the Eid al-Fitr prayer consisting of two rak’ahs. After the prayer, Prabowo was surrounded by worshippers wanting to shake hands, take photos, or capture moments together.

Often, Prabowo would stop to greet and even carry small children, affectionately kissing their foreheads, who were excited to celebrate Eid with him in person.

“Let’s take a photo, Sir,” said one of the residents.

In this year’s Eid al-Fitr sermon, Prabowo was also prayed for by the preacher, which was agreed upon by all the worshippers, for his continued health in leading Indonesia towards a sovereign and prosperous nation.

“May in this blessed moment, our victory as servants in worship during the month of Ramadan, our victory as a nation, be bestowed upon the best son of the nation, Mr. H. Prabowo Subianto. May he be granted good health, patience in leading our sovereign and prosperous nation with dignity and prosperity,” said the prayer leader.

“Ameen,” exclaimed the worshippers.
