Prabowo Subianto Wishes Indonesian U-23 Team Success Against South Korea in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup

Jakarta — Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, has expressed his hopes for the victory of the Indonesian U-23 national football team in their upcoming quarter-final match against South Korea at the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup in Doha, Qatar.

Prabowo made these remarks following a visit and a meeting with Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) and the leadership of the National Awakening Party (PKB) at the PKB headquarters on Wednesday (April 24).

“Our U-23 team will be playing against South Korea in Doha. We pray for our national team. It’s very important,” stated Prabowo.

When asked by the media to predict the score, Prabowo simply smiled and soon after hurriedly left the PKB headquarters while waving goodbye to the media and PKB members.

The match between the Indonesia U-23 team and the South Korea U-23 team is scheduled to take place at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Friday, April 26, 2024.

The Indonesian U-23 team previously made history by advancing to the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup after defeating Jordan U-23 with a score of 4-1. This achievement marks the first time the Indonesian national team has competed in the U-23 Asian Cup.
