He expressed optimism for positive outcomes, particularly in achieving a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine. During Bank Indonesia’s annual meeting in Jakarta on Friday, Prabowo emphasized the sensitivity and uncertainty of the global situation.
Acknowledging recent progress in the Middle East, such as the ceasefire in Lebanon, Prabowo hoped for similar breakthroughs in Gaza to bring much-needed peace to the region. While addressing global issues, he also highlighted the significance of maintaining Indonesia’s domestic stability amidst uncertain times. He commended all parties involved in the successful and peaceful conduct of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections across the country.
