“Prabowo Subianto Explores Karawang Aquaculture for Free Meal Program”

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently visited the saline tilapia aquaculture facility at BLUPPB in Karawang, West Java. This program has the potential to provide free nutritious meals to the community, supporting the government’s efforts to combat stunting and improve nutrition. Accompanied by Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Prabowo inspected the 84-hectare facility aiming for high production targets. Prabowo participated in seeding tilapia fingerlings to enhance pond productivity and promote the ministry’s blue economy programs. The visit also highlighted the Asta Cita vision of Prabowo-Gibran for food self-sufficiency, economic equity, and poverty alleviation. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to boost the aquaculture sector as a cornerstone of the economy and elevate Indonesia’s global market position.
