Prabowo Subianto Attends India’s Republic Day Parade with Indian President

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto experienced a proud moment as he attended the 76th Republic Day parade in New Delhi, India as the Chief Guest. Accompanied by Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Prabowo arrived at Kartavya Path in a horse-drawn carriage to a warm welcome from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials. Standing at the saluting base, Prabowo received a salute from the contingents as the Indian national anthem played. The parade showcased a powerful performance by the Indonesian Military Academy marching band and personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, symbolizing Indonesia’s national unity and military strength. As the Indonesian contingent marched past, Prabowo stood up with pride in his eyes, marking the first time Indonesia participated in a national day parade abroad. During his visit, Prabowo expressed deep appreciation for the invitation and referenced Indonesia’s historical connection with India’s Republic Day celebrations. Following in the footsteps of Indonesia’s first President Sukarno, who was the Chief Guest on India’s first Republic Day in 1950, Prabowo considered his visit to India as a productive and honorable moment.
