Prabowo Macron Indonesia Military Academy Visit

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron at the Indonesian Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, showcasing a warm and symbolic diplomatic moment. The two leaders arrived together at the academy after sharing a helicopter ride from Yogyakarta International Airport, donning matching white shirts as they walked towards a Maung tactical vehicle. President Prabowo took the wheel with President Macron seated beside him, demonstrating their camaraderie and mutual respect. Greeted with full military honors, including Honor Guards, Mounted Cavalry, and local students waving flags, the visit was a highlight of Macron’s official state trip to Indonesia. Prabowo had personally invited Macron to observe cadet education and training at the academy, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral defense cooperation.
