PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has donated five vehicles to five Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Indonesia specializing in Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR). The vehicles donated by PT MMKSI are the Mitsubishi Xpander and Mitsubishi Triton Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) models for educational purposes.
The President Director of PT MMKSI, Atsushi Kurita, stated that Mitsubishi’s donation to SMK is part of the Mitsubishi Motors Education Program (MEP) aimed at empowering the future professional automotive generation. By providing essential resources and facilities, as well as offering practical learning opportunities for vocational school students.
During the Handover Ceremony at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, Kurita expressed that MMKSI aims to enhance the technical skills of students and prepare them for success in the automotive industry. By involving industry stakeholders, education, and students’ learning, the educational system in schools can be strengthened to create a quality workforce ecosystem.
Here is a list of the five SMKs that received vehicle donations from Mitsubishi:
1. SMK Negeri 1 Koto Baru, West Sumatra
2. SMK Negeri 1 Jetis, Mojokerto, Central Java
3. SMK Negeri 1 Petarukan, Pemalang, Central Java
4. SMK Swasta Pasundan Subang, West Java
5. SMK Swasta Yasmi Gebang, Cirebon, West Java
The students in these schools will also receive training through the Mitsubishi Motors Service Technician Education Program (MSTEP-1) to enhance their technical skills. The training will cover basic automotive technical skills, which is a mandatory program for Mitsubishi Motors mechanics worldwide.
This donation program is expected to provide additional knowledge and skills for students in the automotive industry. MMKSI will continue to support vocational schools and enhance the quality of the workforce in the automotive industry in Indonesia.
