Jakarta – The president-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, has stated that further developments will be monitored regarding the potential joining of other parties after PKB and NasDem.
“We’ll see how it develops,” said Prabowo when responding to a journalist’s question after receiving a visit from the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, along with his party executives at Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 25).
In a meeting characterized by warmth and camaraderie between the two long-time friends, Prabowo revealed that he and Surya Paloh are committed to collaborating for the benefit of the nation and the people of Indonesia.
“We agree that we will collaborate as much as possible for the benefit of the Indonesian people. All forces that can unite to work for the people, providing a strong and effective government amid global dynamics, are highly anticipated,” he emphasized.
Surya Paloh echoed this sentiment, stating that after the 2024 General Elections and Presidential Election, every party must work together to build the nation. Therefore, he reiterated his commitment to supporting the Prabowo-Gibran administration.
“Today, NasDem reasserts its support for the new government under the leadership of Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mas Gibran. We certainly hope that the administrative path of the government going forward, with the support given by various components and all the institutional strengths in this country, God willing, will enable us to provide something far greater and meaningful to continue viewing Indonesia with optimism for the future,” clarified Surya Paloh.
“This means, we are ready to provide full support to the new government under the leadership of Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mas Gibran,” he affirmed.
The day before, Prabowo visited the headquarters of the National Awakening Party (PKB) and was directly welcomed by the PKB Chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar.
During that meeting, they discussed cooperation for the future development of Indonesia.
“With close cooperation, God willing, we will achieve our aspirations to eliminate poverty, hunger, and corruption from our society, and bring prosperity. Cooperation to look forward to a better future,” concluded Prabowo.
