Prabowo Subianto’s Speech for Labor Party Anniversary: “I Fight for Economic Justice, Not Capitalism”

Jakarta – President-elect and Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, extended his congratulations to the Labor Party on its 3rd anniversary via a video message.

“I, Prabowo Subianto, extend my congratulations to all the cadres of the Labor Party who are celebrating the third year of the party’s founding. To all of you, I sincerely apologize for not being able to attend in person, as I had to lead a previously planned activity,” Prabowo said in the video shown at the ‘3rd Anniversary of the Labor Party’ event at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/9).

Prabowo expressed that he has long fought for the rights and welfare of laborers, farmers, fishermen, and all Indonesian citizens, especially those who have yet to fully enjoy the benefits of prosperity.

“For many years, my struggle alongside farmers in HKTI, KTNA (Kontak Tani Nelayan Andalan), and Tani Merdeka has been about fighting for economic justice,” Prabowo continued.

He reiterated that his fight is for an economic system based on Pancasila and family values, not a capitalist or neoliberal economy that often contradicts Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

“I fight for the Pancasila economy, the family-based economy, not neoliberal capitalism, which often does not align with Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution,” Prabowo emphasized.

He also urged all components of the Indonesian people to work together in building a progressive nation.

“Indonesia will become a developed country. We must take control and manage our nation’s wealth properly. We must be bold in mitigating challenges and fighting corruption,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
