Zudika Siahaan, a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, shared his hope that under Prabowo’s leadership, Indonesia would achieve remarkable global recognition. He expressed optimism for achievements in education and the arts, envisioning milestones like winning international awards.

“In the years ahead, I hope Pak Prabowo will strengthen Indonesia’s educational foundation, so that we might one day see achievements like Double Prize Winners or even an Oscar-winning talent from Indonesia. It would be a source of pride for all Indonesians to see our national team competing in the World Cup and excelling in international arenas,” Zudika said on the evening of November 10, local time.

Strengthening Indonesia-U.S. Relations

Fauzan Malufti, another student in the U.S., was thrilled to meet Prabowo in person. Fauzan hopes that this visit will further strengthen the longstanding partnership between Indonesia and the United States.

“We’ve learned so much here in America, and it’s truly inspiring to see Pak Prabowo in person. I hope his presence here will foster even stronger ties between our countries,” Fauzan remarked.

To honor Prabowo’s arrival, Desti and her fellow association members dressed in traditional Indonesian kebaya attire. “It’s part of our tradition to wear kebaya when welcoming the President. It’s a way to represent Indonesian culture as we greet him,” she explained. This display of cultural pride added a unique and colorful touch to the event, symbolizing the community’s respect and admiration for their leader.

Prabowo arrived at Andrews Air Force Base at 4:10 p.m. local time and reached his hotel in Washington, D.C., by approximately 5:30 p.m., receiving a warm reception from the Indonesian diaspora who gathered in support.
