Prabowo Rides High-Speed Train to Bandung with Public

Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train from Halim Station in Jakarta. Surrounded by members of the public, Prabowo arrived at the station at 7:45 p.m. local time, dressed in a cream-colored outfit. His presence among commuters ignited surprise and excitement, as he warmly engaged with the crowd and waved to onlookers on his way to the platform.

Prior to boarding the train, President Prabowo took photos with the Whoosh crew and departed for Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m. He is slated to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from August 7 to 9. During the convention, he will deliver the keynote address alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto.

The theme of KSTI 2025, focusing on “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” aims to establish itself as a pivotal forum on both national and international levels. This event is anticipated to bring together experts to discuss and strategize the role of science and technology in promoting economic development and ensuring equity.
