Growing up without a father did not deter Andra Farizki Ramdhani from striving for a better future. Raised by his hardworking mother, Andra, a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, found renewed hope through the People’s School initiative, a program launched by President Prabowo Subianto. Despite facing financial hardships, Andra expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive a quality education through the People’s School.
The boarding school environment at SRMA 10 has presented Andra with both challenges and rewards. While adjusting to dorm life has been difficult due to being away from his family, Andra has found comfort and joy in the camaraderie of his friends at the school. His daily routine is structured, starting with early morning activities and ending with calls to his mother in the evening. Andra appreciates the supportive and lively atmosphere at the school, which keeps him engaged and motivated in his studies.
Andra commended the school’s facilities, noting that they have exceeded his expectations and created a conducive learning environment. He actively participates in extracurricular activities and has developed a passion for judo and informatics. Despite the absence of a father figure in his life, Andra remains determined to pursue his dreams, aspiring to become a judo athlete and attend Defense University (Unhan) for higher education.
For Andra, his aspirations are not just personal goals but also a way to honor his mother’s unwavering support. He emphasized the importance of the People’s School in providing a valuable opportunity for underprivileged children to receive quality education without the financial burden. With strong determination and his mother’s blessings, Andra believes that his dreams are within reach and that every experience at the People’s School is shaping his future independence and knowledge.
