The Indonesian government has officially initiated the Free Health Check Program (CKG) for students nationwide, under President Prabowo Subianto’s Quick Win agenda. Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin highlighted the program as a long-term investment in the nation’s future, emphasizing the importance of children’s health for a stronger Indonesia. The initiative includes screenings for physical and mental health issues, involving teachers and parents to promote healthy living. This collaboration among local governments, schools, and ministries, especially the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, plays a crucial role in the success of the program. Representing the Presidential Communication Office, Prita Laura mentioned that CKG is part of a larger strategy to develop world-class human capital under the current administration. West Java Vice Governor Erwan Setiawan highlighted the need for prioritizing student health and implementing special measures for schools with health risks. Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan stressed the importance of cross-sector collaboration to uphold Minimum Service Standards, especially for child health. With the goal of expanding the program to schools nationwide, Indonesia is taking a proactive approach to ensure the health and well-being of its youth for a brighter future.
