Prabowo Welcomes Peruvian President at Merdeka Palace: Students Join Festivities

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly welcomed Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The state ceremony was made lively by the presence of approximately 3,000 students from elementary to high school in the city. President Boluarte arrived at the palace in a grand motorcade, accompanied by motorcycle troops and mounted guards. Upon her arrival, she was personally greeted by President Prabowo, and together they stood on the ceremonial podium while the national anthems of both Peru and Indonesia were played. They then inspected the honor guard and paid their respects to their national flags. The two leaders also introduced their official delegations, which included esteemed members from various ministries. Following these formalities, President Prabowo and President Boluarte engaged in a bilateral meeting, aiming to enhance the relationship between Indonesia and Peru. This meeting holds significance as both countries are members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The visit of President Boluarte reciprocates the diplomatic gesture made by President Prabowo during his official visit to Peru the previous year. This ongoing exchange between the two nations emphasizes the importance of diplomatic relations and cooperation on a global scale.
