Warm Welcome for Prabowo Subianto from Indonesian Women’s Association at Peruvian Embassy: “We Are Very Proud”

Lima, Peru — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was greeted with enthusiasm by the Indonesian Women’s Association (Dharma Wanita Persatuan) from the Indonesian Embassy in Peru upon his arrival in Lima on Wednesday evening, November 13.

Dressed in traditional Indonesian kebaya attire, the group eagerly awaited Prabowo’s arrival at the hotel where he would be staying during the APEC 2024 Summit.

“We just welcomed our President, Pak Prabowo Subianto, here in Lima,” shared Delli Suhendar, one of the women present.

The group expressed immense pride in having the chance to meet and shake hands with President Prabowo in person.

“We are very proud to be able to meet and shake hands with him,” Delli added.

The women had also prepared some of Prabowo’s favorite dishes along with traditional Indonesian foods to serve him during his stay.

“We prepared foods that Pak Prabowo enjoys and various Indonesian dishes for him to taste,” explained Yuni Ichsan Firdaus.

In conjunction with the APEC 2024 Summit, they extended their well wishes for a smooth and successful visit for Prabowo as he represents Indonesia in Lima.

“We hope that he will be granted ease and success in fulfilling his duties during this visit,” Yuni said.

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum established in November 1989 in Canberra, Australia, with headquarters in Singapore. Indonesia has been a member of APEC since its inception. The forum aims to promote economic growth and improve the well-being of member countries across the Asia-Pacific region. (RR)
