President Prabowo Launches Village Cooperative Program in Klaten

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, made a visit from Solo to Klaten, Central Java, on Monday to kick off the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, a significant initiative of his administration. The President received a warm welcome from excited residents, teachers, and schoolchildren lining the streets, eagerly cheering and waving as his motorcade passed by. Dressed in a brown suit and black peci (cap), President Prabowo interacted with the public, smiling, waving, and even distributing shirts along the way. The enthusiasm of the crowd continued all the way to Klaten, where more residents gathered to catch a glimpse of the President in person. The official launch of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District, showcasing President Prabowo’s economic agenda. With plans to establish over 80,000 cooperatives nationwide by October 28, 2025, the program aims to boost rural economies, enhance farmers’ trading conditions, and generate employment opportunities for inclusive development.
