Prabowo Subianto Extends Eid Greetings to the Media on the Second Day of Eid

Jakarta — In the spirit of Halal Bihalal, a traditional Indonesian custom of seeking and offering forgiveness after Ramadan, the Minister of Defense and President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, took the opportunity to extend Eid greetings and engage in this meaningful tradition with media personnel covering his activities on the second day of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H.

This exchange took place after his visit to the residence of the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives and Gerindra Executive Chairman, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, at his official residence on Jalan Denpasar Raya No. E3, Jakarta, on Thursday (11/4).

“In the spirit of Halal Bihalal, I seek forgiveness for any inadvertent mistakes, happy Eid,” he said to the media personnel who were waiting for an opportunity to speak with him.

“What were the discussions about inside?” one of the journalists inquired.

“Eid is a time for forgiveness, seeking and offering it,” Prabowo responded, echoing the sentiments of Halal Bihalal.

Prabowo arrived, clad in a long-sleeved brown batik shirt, and was warmly welcomed by Dasco at the entrance of his residence.

Earlier that day, Prabowo had once again visited President Jokowi at the State Palace for a breakfast gathering.

This second day saw a slight change in company; Prabowo was joined by his only child, Didit Hediprasetyo. At this gathering, President Jokowi was accompanied by the First Lady, Iriana Jokowi, along with their son, Kaesang Pangarep, and his wife, Erina Gudono.
